Friends of the Herd supports access to equine-assisted mental health services, scholarships for families, and community wellness events in North Alabama.
Our Mission
To remove barriers to mental health care by funding and facilitating equine-assisted therapy, trauma-informed groups, and nature-based wellness experiences. We partner with Integrative Equine Therapy & Consulting to expand access for underserved populations including veterans, foster/adoptive families, and low-income clients.
